HomePlug News & Events

"I have a two story, 3000 ft house. Previously I had tried a Wireless Repeater with only intermittent success. The moment I plugged the extender downstairs, my husband yelled 'What did you do to the internet, it's blazing fast!' So it worked, and fast."

"Worked perfectly right out of the box! Networked through our condo very easily and with great speed!"

"Setup was incredibly easy, plug them in and two button clicks you are done. It helped me get internet to a very bad dead zone in my house without wires running across the floor. I would recommend this product to everyone."

"I have a large detached garage about 350 ft from where my DSL router is located in my house. I had tried a couple of Wifi Extenders at the closest location possible within the house and well...zero bars of coverage in my new garage/workshop. I got this device, followed the simple instructions, walked outside and up to my garage, plugged it in the wall and, WOW!!!, it synced in like 10 seconds."

"I plugged each adapter into power outlets in different rooms on different floors and the product worked immediately with no setup. The speed was solid enough to stream on-demand content."

"I watched a movie on Netflix and Amazon Prime and did not experience any buffering or quality drop. I played some online games and did not experience any lag."

Greeting from the HomePlug President

HomePlug is off to a strong start in 2016. We saw many new products come to market in 2015 utilizing the HomePlug AV2 standard. We also expect a new level of certified product deployments through 2016 as carriers and consumers continue to discover the simplicity and performance of HomePlug AV2 for home networks.

CES was a great way to start the year. It gave us the opportunity to showcase, among other things, combining HomePlug AV2 with 11ac Wi-Fi to eliminate wireless dead spots which previously would have required running Ethernet cables to connect multiple Wi-Fi Access Points.

We would like to thank the HomePlug members who worked tirelessly to bring HomePlug AV2 to the market. We look forward to another successful year of enabling simple, robust and high speed home networks worldwide.

          ~Rob Ranck
