"Could not work any better... could not work any faster... could not be any easier to install."
"This truly saved the day for me running internet to the 2nd floor of the house. Wi-Fi just wasn't strong enough to go through all the walls and furniture to hit my Blu-ray play for Netflix. I even did a speed check on my laptop; I get the same hard-wired speed upstairs as I do plugged straight into the router. This is truly amazing product."
"I love the idea of being able to connect Internet to nearly anything that is plugged in to an electrical outlet!! Just put this thing in the second socket of your outlet and BAM, Internet!!"
"Despite my computer sitting only about 6 feet away from my modem/router (one floor above) my wireless speeds are just dreadful due to the layout of my house. After installing this device, I can finally watch Netflix in HD and play online games without lagging out."
As we look back on a strong finish to 2013 and forward to the events of 2014, we are proud of our members’ achievements and excited for what the future holds.
In November, we hosted a series of successful technology summits throughout China, where we shared our developments for the nVoy® program, HomePlug AV2, HomePlug Green PHY, embedded products and more, with a wide variety of stakeholders. This was also a unique opportunity for us to further support the expanding Chinese market opportunity and connect with experts in the region.
To start off the year, in conjunction with our presence at CES, we proudly announced the addition of five new member companies. We expect that the rest of the year will be full of progress, as we work to complete certification programs for HomePlug AV2, HomePlug Green PHY and Netricity. We also look forward to increasing the adoption of HomePlug’s technologies by continuing our marketing efforts worldwide.

On January 7, 2014, at the start of CES, HomePlug announced the addition of five new member companies: BMW Technology Corporation, Hisense, Texas Instruments, CATR, UL and ASTRI. Each company joined HomePlug based on their unique interests in HomePlug's various technologies: BMW joined in support of HomePlug Green PHY and its application to electric vehicle charging; Hisense joined due to their interest in using HomePlug AV embedded within their products; Texas Instruments joined because of their interest in the Netricity program for outside-the-home applications; CATR announced they will be serving as a nVoy certification lab in China; UL looks forward to providing testing and verification services for SEP 2 products.
In addition to discussing these additions to the Alliance, HomePlug was pleased to share both HomePlug AV and nVoy interoperability demos and discuss upcoming progress with Home with our guests, which included Alliance partners, members, prospective members and media representatives.
Topics covered included:
Demonstrations showcased at the events included embedded products from Hisense, a HomePlug AV interoperability demonstration with products using four different silicon vendors' chipsets, and a multi-silicon-vendor demonstration of nVoy hybrid networking technology. As a special note, CATR announced that they have been selected as the test lab for nVoy Certifications in China.
The Beijing summit closed with a dedicated media briefing session, where HomePlug representatives sat down with a group of twelve media representatives for an in-depth discussion about HomePlug technologies particularly in the China market.
All three summit locations attracted full audiences and were well-received, with 97% of all guests responding to post-event surveys stating they found the event to be helpful.
Broadband World Forum - Amsterdam, NL
Last October, HomePlug hosted a meeting room at the Broadband World Forum show in Amsterdam. In conjunction with the commencement of the show, HomePlug announced progress with the nVoy certification program, including selection of NTS as the initial nVoy authorized test lab, and the fact that the certification test plan had been verfied against several silicon platforms to validate product interoperability. At the show, the first nVoy interoperability demo was showcased, alongside a HomePlug AV multi-silicon-interoperability demo. HomePlug used the opportunity to discuss progress and demonstrate these technologies to a number of members, prospective members, and representatives of the European media.
