HomePlug Resources

"These little devices are amazing! Plug one into the wall, wire it up to the router, plug the other in, wire it where you wish, and you're done!"

"If you're looking for a way to get wired data from a router to any device, I recommend it."

"This is great, I extended my wireless network to a separate floor in my house. Definitely recommend this to anyone with a powerline network wanting to extend their Wi-Fi network as well."

"Very easy to set up, and the performance is good enough to stream live HDTV content from my Windows media center to an Xbox 360 media extender. I have these adapters plugged into different electrical circuits at opposite ends of the house and everything appears to work well even under those circumstances."

"This was not only an excellent technical solution to my problem, but cost- effective compared to having professionals come in and pull cable."

"The adapters are a great way to extend an Ethernet connection in a large house where a wireless router will not work. We live in a very old Victorian house that has fairly thick walls so our 1st floor wireless router signal does not reach to the 3rd floor rooms."

2013 is shaping up to be a monumental year for HomePlug Alliance. We have had significant accomplishments to celebrate already this year and more to come. Most recently, we announced the nVoy™ program which will provide the industry with product certification and marketing for interoperable solutions implementing the IEEE 1905.1 hybrid home networking specification.
We have also been encouraged by the momentum HomePlug has been gaining around the world as our members continue to make new HomePlug powerline product announcements on a regular basis. As we look towards the rest of the year, we are excited to launch the HomePlug AV2 as well as nVoy Certification programs. We will also be increasing our focus in the smart energy sector as HomePlug Green PHY and Netricity PLC/IEEE P1901.2 continue to gain traction.

I look forward to working with our members to take HomePlug technology to the next phase of worldwide growth.
          ~Rob Ranck, HomePlug Alliance president
